Young Krishna is in trouble and he defends himself by telling Yashoda that he would soon grow up and leave home to fulfil his mission in life - she would then realise who he really was - and regret her harsh treatment of him. From her own experience when she forced him to open his mouth to show her the sand, and when she saw unbelievable things, should she not realise that everything is not what it appears to be? Should she then come to believe the words of these treacherous Gopikas who are all out to fault him, a little child, for their misdemeanours?
